Marine & Shore Battery Solutions

Shore-to-Ship Power
What does a shore-to-ship power supply do?
How It Works
1
Power source. Grid power, solar, or wind feeds the shoreside system.
2
Shoreside storage. Energy is stored in the Blue Whale 1.0 container (20ft / 5MWh), managed by an intelligent EMS energy management system.
3
Charging station. An AC/DC charging station converts the stored power and delivers it dockside to the berthed vessel.
4
Onboard BESS. The White Shark 2.0 marine battery system receives power through the ship’s shore connection and takes over the vessel’s load — so the engines can be switched off while docked.

On Boat (Marine BESS)
Ships can shut down their engines while berthed and plug into an onshore power source.
OPS (Onshore Power Supply)
Local emissions at the port are eliminated while the vessel is docked.
On Shore BESS
The ship’s power load is transferred to the shoreside supply without disrupting onboard services.

Smart Energy Ecosystem

Energy Management System
Smart Energy Management
The Energy Management System (EMS) is the intelligent core of the platform — it monitors, coordinates, and optimizes all four connected subsystems in real time to keep power generation, storage, and delivery in balance.
Battery Energy Storage System
Energy Storage. Stores energy for buffering, peak shaving, and backup supply.
Renewable Energy
Solar / Wind Energy. Integrates solar and wind generation into the system.
Operations & Maintenance System
Marine Power Supply. Monitors and maintains stable marine power-supply operation.
Grid
6–35 kV Power AC Grid. Connects to the medium-voltage AC grid.
Vessel Shore Power Solutions

Pure Battery Power
Green energy such as lithium battery as the main power source.
- Applicable to small and medium-sized inland vessels
- Main power uses green energy such as lithium battery
- Zero emission, pollution-free, ultra-quiet
- High system dynamic response capability
- Endurance limited by battery capacity
- Relatively high initial investment
Topology: Battery packs feed a DC Distribution Panel, which supplies the propulsion motors (via transformers / distribution cabinet) and the propellers. A Superior Power Management System (PMS) and shore-power input complete the architecture.
Series Hybrid Power
Diesel generator set and battery operate in parallel via a DC network.
- Applicable to most vessel types
- Diesel engine supports variable speed operation
- Most of the time operates in efficient power generation mode
- Reduced pollutant emissions
- Significantly reduced vibration and noise
Topology: Generator sets and battery packs both connect to the DC Distribution Panel, feeding the propulsion motors through transformers and the distribution cabinet. An Intelligent Control System manages the source mix, with shore-power input available.
Parallel Hybrid Power
Hybrid mode combining diesel engine, generator set, and battery pack.
- Applicable to vessels requiring multiple speeds or power outputs
- Supports PTO / PTI / PTH multiple modes
- Rational energy distribution among multiple power sources
- Significantly reduced pollutant emissions
- Supports long-distance navigation
Topology: A Main Engine drives the propeller directly and couples with an auxiliary-driven generator through a Bi-Directional Converter (PTO / PTI / PTH). Auxiliary generator sets and a battery pack tie in via the Auxiliary Distribution Board, with shore-power input.
